History
Toughglass was created in 1989 by Gordon Coulter, MBE. Toughglass
is a Northern Irish glass processor that started with the first
flat toughening furnace in the island of Ireland. Since then,
the company has been continuously investing into its manufacturing
equipment and staff over the years to strengthen its Market leadership
in Great Britain and Ireland. Each site is equipped with the latest
state-of-the-art glass processing automated equipment from Europe
and the US. The company currently employs 180 dedicated and multi-skilled
staff working in its plants. Toughglass has recently renewed its
accreditation to the workforce training program Investor in People.
This visionary strategy has led the business to grow by over 500
% since its start.
